Originally from Australia, Amelia is a Green Room Award-winning singer and actor now based in New York. She was an original Diva in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert The Musical, and performed the role in Australia and New Zealand for nearly 2 years. She then appeared in The Convict’s Opera (Sydney Theatre Company/Out of Joint), which toured the UK in 2009. Other Australian theatre credits include Razorhurst (Hayes Theatre Co), The United States of Nothing (Griffin Theatre), LOVEBiTES (White Box/Onward Productions), In a Pink Tutu (Sydney Fringe Festival), Fame - the Musical (GFO), and Side by Side by Sondheim (PromoThis).
In 2011, Amelia moved to London, where she spent the next 2 years. She made her West End debut in the London Production of Priscilla, then toured the UK with Murder Mistaken (Bruce James Productions/Talking Scarlet) and Radio Times (The Watermill). Before leaving London, she was nominated for a Broadway World/UK Award for her role as Lisa in Next Thing You Know at The Landor.
In 2013, she moved to New York. She has toured the US with Kinky Boots (1st National Tour), Les Miserables (North American Tour, 2017) and Come From Away (North American Tour). She originated the role of Raven Johnson in Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar’s Beau The Musical, with performances at the Adirondack Theater Festival in 2019, TBD Pictures’ film version in 2021, before making her Off Broadway debut as Raven for Out of the Box Theatrics in 2025-2026. In 2022, she made her Broadway debut as Fate 1 in Hadestown. She also played Amelia in the premiere of online musical ‘Your Musical Is Cancelled The Musical’. So far in 2026, she has been seen as Sabina in The Troupe in concert for Prospect Musicals’ Ignite festival, as well as Peggotty/Mrs Micawber in a reading and workshop of Charles Dickens’ David Copperfield. She is featured on the original cast recordings of the Australian Company of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert the Musical, LOVEBiTEs and Lyons & Pakchar - Beau (World Premiere Recording). Other US theatre credits include Sirens of Song (Milwaukee Repertory Theater), Rock of Ages, The Full Monty, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Man of La Mancha (Alpine Theatre Project). She has also appeared in the Australian Theatre Festival NYC numerous times, as both a featured singer and host.
