Amelia is a New York based singer, actor, musician, voiceover artist and songwriter. She has just finished a one year run as Fate 1 in Hadestown on Broadway. Originally from Australia, she has credits in theatre, film, television, voice over, and cabaret in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and US.

She was an original Diva in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert The Musical, and performed the role in Australia and New Zealand for nearly 2 years, then went on to reprise the role on London’s West End.  She lived in London for 2 years, before moving to New York in 2013.

She has toured the US with Kinky Boots, Les Miserables and Come From Away, and originated the role of Raven Johnson in Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar’s Beau. The film of Beau the Musical has appeared and won awards at multiple film festivals around the world, most recently the Dances With Films and Big Apple Film Festivals in New York. In 2020, she appeared in the world premiere of online musical ‘Your Musical is Cancelled The Musical’.

As a singer and songwriter, Amelia has released 2 self-titled albums, and is featured on the original cast recordings of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert The Musical, LOVEBiTEs and Lyons & Pakchar - Beau (World Premiere Recording) . She is one half of folk/bluegrass duo ‘Cormack & Guinn’ with fellow Les Mis Tour alum Allison Guinn. They just released their podcast Some Dark Holler - a murder ballad podcast on all major platforms. She is also in covers band ‘Pull Up the Covers’ with her husband Roger Plotz.

Amelia plays violin, piano, guitar and mandolin, and has played all her instruments in a number of concerts and actor-musician shows.

The beautiful film I worked on in 2021 continues to garner laurels at festivals around the world. In New York, it premiered at the Dances With Films Festival in 2022, and more recently at the Big Apple Film Festival in May, 2023. ‘Your Musical Is Cancelled The Musical’

After COVID-19 leads to the delay of a small regional theatre company’s musical production, the cast and crew are summoned to a Zoom meeting by the theatre’s shady benefactor, Mr. Muncheon to discuss their fate. While waiting for him to sign on, they lament about quarantine, unemployment, and the state of the world. Will the theatre survive? Or will their family be torn apart indefinitely? Through laughter, tears, and unprompted musical numbers, they’ll discover the only way to navigate this new world is by sticking together.
